Merry Korn, President/CEO

Merry Korn, owner, an experienced businesswoman with a master’s degree in social work, honed her business skills as senior vice president of marketing for American Health Holding, Inc., a national medical management firm based in Worthington, Ohio. As part of a team of four founders, Merry grew American Health’s business from a startup company in 1993 to a firm that today has over 300 employees and 20 offices nationwide. In 2004, she founded Pearl Interactive Network, a social enterprise that blends a for-profit business with a social mission that provides work opportunities to the most challenged populations. Through Merry’s leadership, the company is scaling to 1,100 employees, and registered in 40 states. Pearl gained traction among the world’s largest federal government contractors, and positioned the company as a niche staffing and project management firm that provides federal prime contractors with mandated certifications and DCAA-compliant accounting system. Merry and her team have launched Pearl TLC, a supportive care and remote monitoring solution, an end-to-end telehealth solution that combines people, process and technology to address the needs of patients with multiple chronic conditions. During her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening, yoga, golf and is a board member for New Directions, a non-profit that empowers women in transition to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency. She is a member of the NAWBO Public Policy Committee and a volunteer with the Women’s Small Business Accelerator (WSBA). Additionally, Merry is a board member of NASWASI, a professional liability insurance company that protects social workers.


Jim Caldwell, CFO

Jim Caldwell is a CPA and has over 30 years of financial management experience in a variety of industries including professional services, higher education, distribution, logistics, healthcare and manufacturing. He also has experience in human resource management, benefit administration, information systems implementation and integration, risk management, business valuation and physical plant operations. Jim has an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Xavier University and a BSBA in Accounting from Franklin University where he has served as an accounting adjunct faculty member for the last 15 years. Jim is the chair of the Kairos Prison Ministry Advisory Board at North Central Correctional Complex, discussion leader of Bible Study Fellowship and is a member of the Westerville Sunrise Rotary Club. In his spare time Jim enjoys biking, reading and traveling to historic sites and places of natural beauty.


Tarah Ziogas, Vice President, Human Resources

Tarah Ziogas brings 25 years of progressive recruiting and human resource expertise that spans industries including mortgage banking, IT, non-profit and Fortune 500 companies. She is charged with leading human resource and recruiting efforts on behalf of Pearl. Tarah plays a key role in the company’s overall performance, organizational strategy, promoting operational effectiveness and elevating team performance through innovative leadership. Tarah developed a multi-channel approach to capturing a skilled and talented niche workforce that includes accessing specialized nonprofits, networking, social media and specialized job sites. Her background includes leading teams and developing and implementing training programs on full life cycle recruiting, sourcing, interviewing, training, HR compliance and closing techniques. Tarah leads by example, creating a friendly, caring, knowledgeable and trustworthy team. Outside of work she runs 5K and 10K races, is an avid reader, coaches cheerleading, paddle boarding and spends time with her daughters.


Brenda Wingert, Vice President Operations

Brenda brings over 15 years of call center management to Pearl, including budget, facilities, IT and project management. Brenda successfully implemented a 600+ seat call operation, manages a 400 plus seat operation and is in the process of ramping up a 750 seat operation. Brenda started her tenure with Pearl as financial analyst for Pearl’s Kentucky contact center. She eventually assumed site manager and program manager roles and was recently promoted to Pearl’s Vice President of Operations. In addition to leading operations, Brenda oversees all facets of government contracting capture including mining and bid responses. During non-work hours, she enjoys quilting, crocheting and cooking.


Jean Murphy, Vice President, Federal Business Development

Jean Murphy joined Pearl Interactive Network as Vice President, Federal Business Development. Jean brings over 30 years of proven performance in Business Development, Capture Management and Program Operations for industry leading commercial Business Processing and Contact Center Providers and Federal Contractors. She has hands-on experience with winning capture efforts of multi-million dollar contracts with Veterans Affairs, Social Security Administration, Social Security Administration, Department of Labor, General Services Administration, Department of State, Housing and Urban Development and the US Senate.
