Pearl Corporate Team Donates Gifts to Military Veteran’s Family

This holiday season the Pearl corporate team “adopted” a military veteran’s family who had fallen on hard times. We wanted to provide Christmas presents for a truly needy family with children.

Working with the Military Veterans Resource Center (MVRC) in Columbus, we were given a list of the family’s children with their specific Christmas wishes. The MVRC provides services and resources for military veterans who have honorably served — including job training, food, clothing, and other resources to help veterans become self-reliant during various life transitions.

We collected over $400 to purchase gifts for the three children. We wrapped the gifts and delivered them to the center several days before Christmas.

Veterans Services Specialist Velecia Luckette was very appreciative of our efforts.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all, especially those who have served in the armed forces, and made personal sacrifices for the many freedoms we take for granted today.
